INSCRIPTIONS OF THE ALAVERD MONASTERY
Abstract
The article presents publications of lapidary, chased and fresco inscriptions of the feudal cathedral of Alaverdi. The study of epigraphic monuments is of great importance for the study and preservation of the material and spiritual culture of our country, in particular Kakheti. It is true that the temple was destroyed or rebuilt many times over the centuries, but fragments of the surviving epigraphic monuments provide important information about medieval Georgian culture, Georgian art, secular and religious architecture and wall painting
