THE TERM OF ANTONOMASIA IN MODERN LINGUISTICS

Abstract

This article explains the essence of one of the tropes - antonomasia, defines its function
in oral and written speech, defines their role in linguistics, examines its semantic
features, and reveals the poet's ability to use them on factual material. The given
examples of the use of antonomasia in the works include generalized results of
consideration of structural-semantic and pragmatic features of means. Antonomasia has
been methodologically studied on the basis of examples of functionality.
