Abstract

This article describes one of the many craft traditions, in
particular the rite of initiation into the master of the “kamar
band”. The term “camar baste" also referred to artisans who had
reached a certain level of skill. The rite of initiation of the student
into the master is described in detail, after which the student was
allowed to work independently.
